As soon as I saw the Rose Wonder stamp set and matching Rose Garden Thinlits in the Occasions Catalogue, I knew I had to have them! And I have had so much fun using them for all kinds of different techniques.
I thought I would try using the large rose stamp from Rose Wonder to make a card using the Spotlight Technique. In this technique, only part of the image is coloured, making it the spotlight of the card. It’s the first time I’ve used this technique, and I think it turned out really pretty! I will definitely be trying this technique with other stamp sets!
I used Shimmery White cardstock to stamp the image on, and coloured the focal image using Old Olive, Blushing Bride and Calypso Coral ink pads and reinkers with my Aquapainter. The coloured image is matted on Basic Black, and the card base is Calypso Coral. The sentiment is from Endless Thanks.
It’s that time of year again…Stampin’ Up! has released the list of items that will be retiring from the catalogue. And this list is huge! (See the PDF here.)
Not only are the 2014-16 In Colours leaving (I will miss you, Blackberry Bliss and Lost Lagoon!), but there are so many stamp sets, punches, dies, framelits, thinlits and accessories that will not be in the new catalogue coming in June!
All items on the retiring list are while supplies last, so don’t wait to put your order in!
Hundreds of stamps and accessories from the 2012-2013 catalogues are retiring, and this is your chance to get them before they’re gone! Many products are only available while supplies last, so be sure to get your orders in early! Some of the retiring products are up to 60% off!
Well, Stampin’ Up! is at it again! They’ve just announced another colour re-fresh. Some colours are retiring, some retired colours are coming back, and some In Colours are staying! Check out the list below for details!
The Online Extravaganza promotion is Stampin’ Up!’s biggest online sale of the year, with savings up to 50% on some of your favorite products PLUS 24-hour doorbuster sale items on Monday and Wednesday!
It starts on November 19th, and runs till November 28th. Be sure to check out the sale details!
Stampin’ Up! has created a card-making application, and it has a great name for: Simply Sent! This iPhone app allows customers to create an e-card—from a template or completely on their own—and send it via e-mail or post it on Facebook. And it’s free!
Here’s something you should know about this app: it’s not My Digital Studio on a mobile device, not even close. This scaled-back version will only give customers a taste of what they can create when they buy MDS. We want to get our name and our art out there so more people than ever before will know about Stampin’ Up! We hope you’ll get excited about it as well and that you’ll do the following:
Download it from iTunes or the App Store, share it with all your friends, and post a review! The more positive reviews it gets, the more prominent place it takes in the iTunes store.
Try it out!
P.S. Don’t worry…they are working on an Android app as we speak!!!
